Time after time, you hear voices in your head about what to do and what not to do. If you listen carefully and pay attention to the voices in your head, you’ll clearly hear what direction you should take in any situation. You can actually ask a question to the universe, and the universe will answer back to you in a form of a whisper. I call it a whisper because it is a very soft, calming, almost like a murmuring sort of voice. This is how the universe communicates back to you. We all have this ability. Some of us put it into practice and so the whispers become clearer and louder messages and signs. For others, this is something that gets lost in time becaues it is not used. Hence, the universe gets quieter and shuts down on you.
I heard my first whisper when I was about seven or eight years old. My parents, aunts, uncles and cousins went to the beach to have fun one weekend. I was in the ocean playing and trying to swim. I didn’t know how to swim back then and wasn’t wearing a life jacket neither using a floatie. Then, the tide grew and came and the ocean pulled me in. I was completely underwater. I couldn’t reach the surface anymore. And it happened! I heard whispers in my head. One voice clearly said to me that I should try to let the ocean pull me in without a fight. This, so that I can simply die without any pain. Another voice told me exactly what to do in order to get back to the surface. I honestly don’t remember how much time I spent underwater, but it definitely felt more than a minute. I was a kid. How was I able to stay underwater for so long?! But then, I followed that second voice. I voice so soft and calming. I acted on it and followed its instructions. It’s as if it knew exactly how to get me out of that situation step by step. I was prepared to die. I wasn’t scare anymore. I gave up. I just followed the instructions that I was given by that second voice because I had nothing to lose anymore. I went back to the surface. Luckily for me, a cousing nearby was using a floatie, and so I asked him to borrow it. He did lend it to me. I swam back to shore and I was back safe on the beach. My parents didn’t even notice any of this and I’ve never told them.
How many times do we hear whispers and we don’t pay attention to them? Have you noticed those voices in your head trying to tell you or to teach you something? Pay attention to them. We all have to learn to listen to the whispers. If we listen carefully, that pretty much could be the difference between life and death. It could mean the difference between love and suffering. It could mark the difference between poverty and riches. Learn to listen to the whispers. The universe is talking to you. It is a muscle that gets lost if you don’t use it. Pay attention. Practice it. Listen now!
